Restorative Procedures We Regularly Perform

Posted on 8/8/2022 by Aron Geelan, DMD
Restorative Procedures We Regularly PerformRestorative dentistry is a branch of dentistry that focuses on replacing missing or damaged teeth. More specifically, we primarily repair and remove cavities and provide necessary treatment for existing oral conditions. We are also specialized in treating patients that need dental repairs due to injuries or trauma. We offer restorative procedures such as dental crowns, implants, and bonding.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are tooth-like structures that are used to replace missing teeth or stabilize damaged ones. They mostly replace missing tooth structures caused by fractures, dental decay, and root canals. Furthermore, dental crowns also serve as full-cover caps that restore the normal functioning of a tooth. Before installing dental crowns, we will first examine you to see whether they are ideal.

Dental Implants

After losing a tooth due to injury or extraction, you can get dental implants to replace your missing tooth. During this procedure, our professionals place an implant into your jawbone. A dental implant looks exactly like a natural tooth and bonds well with the natural bone. These procedures are highly effective and will leave you with a better smile.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding procedures involve composite resins (colored fillings made of glass and plastic). Dental bonds are ideal in covering surfaces of discolored teeth, repairing cracked teeth, and filling cavities. Dental bonds are also used to fill small gaps in between teeth. This restorative procedure is ideal, especially when you have lost your teeth to injury or extraction.

Dentures

Dentures can either be fixed or removable. In most cases, removable dentures are used due to their effectiveness. Dentures are mostly used by seniors who have lost most of their teeth due to old age or other causes. They are effective in restoring a smile, especially after experiencing tooth loss. Visit our offices for more information on the types of restorative options we offer.
