With this advanced technology, 3G Dental Lab produces consistent, top-tier restorations that require little to no chairside adjustments, resulting in a smoother and more efficient experience for both the dentist and the patient.

Dr. Geelan’s pursuit of knowledge is relentless. In addition to his work with crowns, bridges, and implants, he is expanding his expertise in technical bite splints and surgical planning. His latest focus is on advancing fixed denture cases, continuing to build on his already vast understanding of dental technology and patient care.

The Vision
3G Dental Lab was founded in 2021 by Dr. Kyle Geelan, driven by his passion for both dentistry and technology. While Dr. Geelan loves his work in public health, he found himself missing the technical dentistry aspect that he had honed during his residency. This gap led him to explore the world of 3D printing and dental laboratory services, where he could apply his expertise in a more hands-on, technical way. His vision was to create a fine-tuned system for processing and crafting crowns, bridges, and implants that catered to both the dentist’s and the lab technician’s perspective. Dr. Geelan’s fascination with digital and technical dentistry led him to develop a streamlined, reliable method for controlling the outcome of dental cases, ensuring precision and efficiency every step of the way.
The name 3G has a dual significance. The “3” represents 3D printing, a key element in the lab’s cutting-edge approach to dental restoration, but it also pays tribute to the three Geelan brothers. The dream of working together as a family has always been a priority for Dr. Kyle—though this dream was slightly altered when one of his brothers chose a career in law instead of dentistry. Nonetheless, the name reflects the strong family bond and shared professional aspirations.
Kyle Geelan, DMD
Dr. Kyle Geelan, a Tigard, Oregon native, graduated from Tigard High School in 2006. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Aron, Dr. Geelan pursued a career in dentistry, driven by a passion for helping others. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University in 2010 before continuing his education at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2014.
After dental school, Dr. Geelan completed a residency program at AT Still University in Arizona from 2014 to 2015, further honing his skills and gaining valuable experience. He now serves the public health community in Portland, working to improve access to quality dental care for underserved populations.
In 2021, Dr. Geelan took an entrepreneurial step by opening 3G Dental Lab, where he offers high-quality, custom dental solutions. This allows him to provide a seamless and elevated care experience for patients and dentists, ensuring precision and quality in every aspect of treatment.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Geelan enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, a hygienist for the public school system, and their two young sons, Graham and Eli. The family loves staying active, whether it’s golfing, hiking, skiing, or enjoying river sports together.
Dr. Geelan is deeply committed to both his patients and family, continually expanding his expertise and providing exceptional care while balancing a fulfilling personal life.
